I’m old and don’t like changes, so kept my old username. 
This new site is gonna take some getting used to. I don’t even know how to tag something, so bear with me. Yeah, I’m old AND computer illiterate. Thank goodness it’s not on fb or that type of platform. Hate to see what happened at the Planet, it wasn’t very civilized from where I sit. I do hope it stays around as a reference though, a lot of valuable info there.

It’s new to all of us, but I tried to keep it really simple when designing.
Long story short, you have Categories. Some Categories have ‘sub-categories’.
You’ll want to post in sub-categories if there are any. The top-level categories are for pinned posts and showcases / highlights.
This doesn’t apply to something like the General category, where there aren’t any sub-categories.
ANNNNND That’s pretty much the gist of it.
As far as notifications go, let me write up a detailed little how-to in your other thread
