A new member with a '73 Luv with the 1.8 gasser just posted on the Planet. He really needs to visit Isuzupup.com. I hesitated suggesting that, don’t want to get banned for steering someone towards a “competitor”. If more folks get afraid to make suggestions like that, it doesn’t help the original poster seeking help. And helping folks is what it’s all about, right?

They are censoring even the private messages. I had an Isuzu Nation link I posted in a “conversation”, and a few days later it was wiped out. Pretty sure they’re running a site-wide script on that.
Funny they’ve never censored any mention of Isuzupup.com in the past. So I don’t know if they even consider Joe’s site “competition”.
They just don’t like our new site! You’ll notice FAR more activity here than the Planet. As soon as the “Top Contributors” (you, me and “Mud”!) stats age out, it’s gonna look pretty bleak over there.
Not a lot of members online when I check, mostly guests.

Yeah, for sure. I’ve been wirint the url out like this: isuzu nation (dot) com. I’, guessing you could you pm the guy, “hey, i saw your post. this forum’s gotten pretty dead but isuzu nation (dot) com and isuzupup (dot) com have quite a few active members and you’d probably get faster replies over there.”
On that note, enemigo came over here with us didn’t he? If so, what’s his username over here again?

I’m trying to explain better than the first time. They don’t have to be watching. They don’t have to be paying attention. It’s automatic.They don’t censor these manually. They do it globally.
Anytime “isuzunation.com” appears anywhere on the site, past present or future, it gets replaced with asterisks.

They’d probably consider isuzupup.com a competitor now. They have indeed gotten all paranoid. It was under the radar before we started rocking the boat.

If that’s been working for you, good. I wasn’t sure if they were going to wipe out the combination of “Isuzu” and “Nation”, even if it isn’t linked. Just the words. And then there’s the issue of banning those who are mentioning the new site or even encouraging someone to check it out. I’m trying to walk a fine line so I can still work there. Been sending emails to those who I’ve communicated with in the past, some have already joined. We’re trying!!
If they start banning the mere mention of those words, there are ways to get around it as well, I reckon. “I really think that Isuzu needs to come back into our Nation and build new cars” or similar.
I don’t recall Enemigo joining up, unless he did it under a new user name.

oh man. Sorry to hear it. 
That was one of the first suggestions, truth be told. That the parent categories should be reserved for stickies and psas / hall of fame type stuff. That way if someone marks something as solved it can be moved to the parent category and keep things tidy.

No, no. Lol at least don’t allude to any links or names in your tagline. But definitely you’re fine to just send private messages. If they ban you over private messages, you can then just take screenshots and put it on blast that they’re reading your private messages. Not that too many people will care but it’s definitely not something that they’re trying to have blow up in their face
