Fall Uwharrie trip

Hey campers,

I’m thinking about running down to Uwharrie in November. Looking at the weekend of the 14th. Is anyone interested in meeting me down there? Badin Lake Group site B is available currently, but we would need to move quickly to secure it. $240ish to cover Thursday-Sunday for up to a dozen of us. If you have never been, it is a great facility. Primitive camping, but there is a bathhouse with hot showers a short walk away.

Let me know and we can make start making plans

I’m a west coast guy so I’m def out… I’m also banned on the planet :laughing:

I know they usually have a trip planned on there, I’d check plans with them if you haven’t already. But keep this posted here for sure

I wouldn’t say that I run the thread, but I am a planner. LOL I look forward to it and enjoy catching up with my friends along with meeting new folks.

I’ve got family that wheels out on the West coast from SoCal up to Washington. I would love to get out there sometime and meet some of you left coast guys.

OK,

After talking with a few of the regulars we are locking in NOV 12-15th for the Fall Uwharrie trip. If you are able to join us please let me know. I am going to try and secure the group campsite. Doubtful I will have my Trooper repaired by then, so I might just be a passenger princess this trip. :rofl: I lost 3rd gear again. The transmission is on borrowed time based on the noises it is making. Add to that my lost front driveshaft and skid plates… The poor rig needs some love. I might be driving a Uhaul down just to collect parts along the way! LOL

Someone needs to book the group site. I’ve done it multiple times, but can’t this year. In between paying for a wedding, honeymoon, kids summer camps, trip to California, and moving on top of all of that… It has been an expensive summer. I am tapped out. LOL

I can certainly pitch in for it, but I can’t front the entire cost this time.

It sounds like Chewy over on that other site is going to book the campground Friday. If not, we may have to come up with another plan.

so whats the outcome? have to see the outlaws…i mean in-laws in Hickory, so we wanted to go Saturday to Sunday.
