Is Clearwater still open? Can’t find a website. Seen comments from recent orders though. King has no website either, so are they out of business? That being said, plenty of new Chinesium heads on eBay!! Here’s one on coupon special, $230 shipped complete, ready to bolt on! I’ve been calling Mike Waldrip at King and they are gone. Had a good experience there. 5 years ago Mike shipped his last 4ZE1 head to Jerry for me. Can’t speak to the quality cuz it hasn’t been run but great service. Jerry did say it sure looked nice to him. ---

Had to dig through my old emails. A little over a year ago I had a conversation with Jerry when I was looking for a 4Z head. He had recommended Mike at King’s. Rather than retype, I’ll just copy/paste. I did receive a head from David Smith. On my Trooper now and doing well with one exception. If I leave my Trooper idling parked sideways on an incline with the driver’s side down, after a while I’ll get blue smoke out the tailpipe. Clears up when I get back to a normal level. I assume it’s a bad valve guide seal? I don’t put the truck in that situation very often so it doesn’t bother me enough to fix it. Unless I rec’d a strong recommendation to buy from another source, I’d buy from David again. Hope this helps. Mike August '25 GOOD MORNING JERRY. Good to have a reputable company that you can trust. And if they’re recommended by Jerry, that’s the Gold Seal of ZuZu Approval! Their bare head is around $429 shipped, looks like the better deal would be the head, assembled with valves/springs/etc for $525 shipped. That’s great Mike. Good to know. I sure liked dealing with Mike, we talked quite a bit about things changing. He told me 6 years ago he was thinking about packing it in. He had a big commute and he just didn’t need to be there anymore. Sad he had no one to pass things on to. Well, same thing here getting hard to find anybody to do anything and if you don’t know how things are “supposed” to be you are headed for trouble. ---

Not without digging it out, not easily no. Sorry It’s like twice as heavy as any other head I’ve picked up. Has “amc” stamped on it fairly small. I forget where on the unit.
