Hey all, im looking for some feedback on how the site performs on your system. at home on my main PC, it works fine, but that system also has a giant GPU and a recent processor. however trying the site on my work PC, the performance is abysmal, its like it runs at 5 fps and is half a second behind. typing this post on it is not fun at all. I checked out some other discourse powered forums and they all run just fine, so im pretty sure its an “us” issue. how does the site run on your system? ---

On my phone, I only have slowdowns when loading a page, no scroll or graphical issues that I can spot. Work laptop displayed just fine. Mobile UI is a bit annoying to get around but I can manage. Desktop UI works best. (Google Pixel 6) ---

I was having some trouble loggin in at 1st but it seems to getting better. I applaud you guys for doing this. I won’t stand for working with a shatbot… I got a brain with emotions and stretching the 3 cells that are left alive. Cheers ---

Works well on my old PC, and also old android phone. One thing I noticed, when on my PC; at the Home page, the “Search” magnifying glass does not appear unless I scroll down! So the first thing a new visitor would see when coming here is no “Search” feature. Maybe just a glitch? I wouldn’t expect it would be too difficult to make the Search appear at the top without having scrolled down. Just an observation! ---

I haven’t run into any site performance issues so far! I’m here on firefox, my machines are running linux mint. Desktop has a new-ish Radeon gpu, and my antiquated laptop doesnt have a dedicated gpu just the intel igpu. So far been flawless on my desktop. Think I’ve clicked just about every clickable thing at this point with no issues. Made a rather lengthy post, had no issues adding pictures or anything, perfectly smooth through and through. Running the site on my decade old laptop with its wheezy dual core cpu is (unsurprisingly) not quite so smooth, but still more than acceptable. Everything is still reasonably snappy, scrolling is a lil choppy, but otherwise fine. I’d have no idea that this was practically a brand new site, incredible work guys o7
