there are the first row self stick ice shield shingles, though not cut in 3rds. Let me find it but the other ice shield youre referencing has rubberized properties helps with those tinny rattles and buzzing of doors and roofs . its not thick like the asphalt stuff on the floor. its thin enough to manipulate in tight areas and as mentioned self adheres. its not “professional” sound deadening but i dont think Jack is running 12" subs. another hack is indoor carpet padding inside subwoofer boxes instead of cotton fluff. cheaper and denser. heres the bigger peel and stick starter roll. Its GAF, Grace is the rubber one.

But I’m so deep into this now, the headliner is just one more step (and I keep doing “just one more step”😆 ). So, I’ll take a look at Ice Shield. And that reminds me, I’ve already been told I need a heat gun. Do you have any recommendations for a heat gun that may never be used again?

I understand why you would be a little hesitant with the Hood Lining.. They can be a Bastard of a thing.
Another idea (that’s both equally genius and stupid)
Is, what a previous owner of a car my mate purchased once.
Just leave the Hood Lining right where it is and blast expander foam in the void between the roof and the liner..😋
